Dear Jay
At the beginning I want to thank
you for your anserw. I also think that we can be a family. Information from you
helped me in researching of my grandfather’s brothers. My grandfather lived with
his brothers near village called Rawa Ruska, which is 20 km from village Wielkie
Oczy.
Unfortunately I still do not know anything about Hauben Family from
Przemyśl but because I live near Kraków I am going to go there and if I get any
information I will send a letter to you. When my grandfather – Adolf Hauben was
alive he told me that his family had went to USA before Second World War and
they never contacted with him. I am still wonder why they did not write and why
he never tried to find them. What was happened that they all left Poland and
only he stayed. There are a lot of such questions, but I hope to find anserws
for them somewhen. I wish that very much.
My grandfather had one child –
Andrzej Hauben who was born in 1941. Andrzej is married with Danuta who is a
doctor. They have 2 daughters: my sister Barbara and me. My sister studies low
and I work in advertising. I am 31 years old and I am married. My husband’s name
is Jacek. We have 2 children: Agnieszka and Piotr. And this is all Hauben
Family who actually live in Poland. I know because I have already checked. I
have been looking for my family for 2 years. I went to The American
Consulate in Poland and I got information about 12 families called Hauben who
live in California. I wrote letters to them but all returned to me because
addresses were not complete.
Somewhen I was watching a film “One Flew Over
Cuckoo’s Nest” and I noticed that a screen play was written by Lawrence Hauben
(He got The Oscar Award for it) I wanted to contact with him but I was not
successful.
I send photos from 1920-1930 year. Maybe somebody will recognize
his/her family.
I send greetings from my family and me. I look
forward to hearing from you.
Yours faitfully.
Dorota Hauben
