There's a group called Pure Children (330-8006) have been throwing good parties. The sonic groove crew are involved with good things. In addition one or two people have good house parties (in their homes) every so often with net DJs and the like. There are a bunch of good smaller club/lounge/bar nights either inexpensive or free such as Killer at Robots, Giant Step, Ameoba at Den of Thieves, Nation, Bar XVI (like Kong Fu Lounge) and some okay larger events like Unity at Vinyl and so on. Otherwise you should join the NYC-Raves list by sending e-mail to nyc-raves-request@hyperreal.com with a message body of subscribe to stay informed of the down low. Also there is a list called NE-Raves for the north east which is much more active about the scene around. Info is available on http://www.hyperreal.com/raves/ne/ about this list and the calander only version. Check out http://hyperreal.com/raves/nyc/ for more info Check out http://hyperreal.com/~johnnyu/rom.html for a calendar of parties and club nights. okay...hope to catch you at a party some day!! =) Peace and *HUGS* .\.\ichael - sentinel ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Hauben Teachers College Dept. of Communication Netizens Netbook http://www.columbia.edu/~hauben/netbook/ WWW Music Index http://www.columbia.edu/~hauben/music/
