I owe a lot to the Internet: 1) the idea to make this homepage, 2) introducing me to IRC, 3) making me flunk out of school (no, jk, I'm not that stupid, I did graduate), 4) allowing me to meet some great people, and 5) a messy room (since I rather be on the comp instead of cleaning my room).

Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is where everything started for me. IRC is a place where people from all over the world can get together on "channels" and chat. I started IRC in October 1994 and plan on staying on for a few more years. Ah yes, for those who know me, alot of times when I'm on IRC, my state of mind is this.

My latest channel which I spend most of my time is #canopy. Most of the time, you can find me using the nick Ariell (inspired by The Little Mermaid).

I'm also a channel operator on #irchelp. This channel is a great place for anyone with any IRC related questions. If you want more info on IRC, visit the #IRChelp official website.

Over the years, I have met weird, crazy people (some have become friends). Below are descriptions of some of my friends I have made on IRC.



[Sun Pic] SOLEIL: He's called OSOEWHT (oh silent one except when he talks) cuz he's not known to talk much on the channel. He helps take care of #Limbo with me. He's from France (ohh la la). When you get a chance, ask him to teach you some swear words in French.


[Tank Girl Pic]CHANGA: Changa es una puta malvada. If you look up "evil bitch" in the dictionary, you will see her pic. If she dunna watch herself, she gonna git herself kilt (and if ya wondering, she does have a badass messican accent).




[Tweety Pic] CHRISSY: My nature show loving buddy. We love NOVA nature programs. You can get confused easily talking to her (sometimes she talks like this); just smile and nod when that happens. Be careful of her. Just like Tweety, Chrissy may look all innocent-like, but she'll hit you over the head with her hammer when you're not looking.


[Gambit Pic]CAJUN/PAGAN: You can probably call her the Ragin' Cajun Pagan. One of the people I've known the longest on IRC; we've been through a lot together, good and bad. A good writer (if she ever publishes her work). She promised me the book she has written. I guess the Pony Express must be on a strike cuz I'm still waiting.




[Tug Boat] BALLAST: This guy is the ballast for many of his friends when they are in need. As expected he loves the water and plays water polo. He hopes that one day he could beat me at the game of vball (highly unlikely).


[Gravestone Pic]VAMPS: The first generation VAMPS (Voiceless And Mute PersonS). His silence on IRC is legendary. Most people have never heard him speak on IRC; those few people who do are the special ones. He was the first person to help me keep my channels open 24/7 and I'm forever grateful for his help and friendship. Rumor has it that he comes out and feeds during the night, but I have seen him on during the day. So beware.


METHOD: He's from the 51st State, Canada. He loves rap (you can tell from his nick). Occasionally he will be strutting his stuff and rapping on the channel (plug your ears). Meth has the tendency to piss off IRCops and get himself /killed.

RECK: The second generation of VAMPS. Just like the original Vamps and now Soleil, Reck idles on channels or in IRC space. For some odd reason, these VAMPS rarely talk. If you see Reck talk, mark down the date, for it may not happen again for a while. But if you do get Reck to talk, he is a cool guy and will help you with any probs you have.

[Gund Pic] Also from the 51st state, Canada, Gund rather be known as an it (*shrug*). I think his nick took over his personality & body cuz he acts like a Gund bear. Don't know if he is as short or as cute as the bear; gonna have to ask him yourself. But he has a cute personality (if that counts for anything).


[Leather Dress Pic]RISKA: The Leather Queen Of IRC! :) When I first met Riska I thought she was obsessed with leather, whips, and chains. Over time I realized she just wanted to annoy the hell out of me. In truth, she's a major smart ass with a heart of gold. I used to hate her (I actually banned and kicked her once; can you believe that? :)), but she has turned out to be a kewl pal. Just watch out when she starts to ramble about astrology.
